Cat Montégut
The expression of my art is in harmony with my philosophy of life. Shining or not, obvious or hidden, every detail, even be it small, deserves our attention and care.
Although, what is actually real?

My art is mostly white and/ or black, sometimes transparent. The combination of conflictual daily or classical materials such as cotton, paper, silk, burned wood, plastics or barbed wire allows me to express controversial life feelings, thoughts.
Our Life is full of contrast. Light and shadows are closely related and are the principal shaping elements of my art. They separate the obvious from the hidden, truth from lie, reality from illusion.
Perception is always the result of personal interpretation and evaluation. The viewer will always add his own inner light to his understanding of my messages. This freedom of thought is an important concern for me.
My own feelings about each work of art find expression in abstract names, which are composed of 3 tone syllables of a 54 tone syllable repertoire in a grid.
